Where is the Invisible
Hand, pray?
The one you promised
us in 1776.
We’ve been waiting.
Even though waiting to
be rescued
And placing faith in a
flawed & failing screed
That did work for a
time and for a few
Is akin to passive
suicide.
The truth is that the
only hands that are going to pull us to freedom are our own.
Roll up your sleeves,
human family,
Honour thy neighbour,
Lift up their children
& your own,
Link arms,
Take great care,
Plant seeds.
There is only one
Invisible Hand worth trusting.
The one that has
written the book of this life, yours & mine.
